Celebrating 10 Years of Fancy Steps!

On November 3, 2018, the Children’s Museum at Holyoke celebrated its 10th annual celebrity dance extravaganza, Fancy Steps!

This annual event featured twelve local celebrities who partner with professional dancers from Ballroom Fever (a professional dance studio located in Enfield, CT) as they showcase their talents at a dance exhibition before nearly 500 people. This year’s celebrities included: Basia Belz, Mike Costello, Matt D’Amour, Andrew Drewnowski, Laurie Hoey, Christine Phillips, Matt Mainville, John McAndrew, Kerry Parsons, Siobhan Sullivan, Mike Tami and Kathy Williamson.

This year’s theme was “Dancing through the Decade” and took place at the Log Cabin in Holyoke.

This annual event is the Museum’s primary fundraiser that raise funds to bring new, exciting, and innovative programs, exhibits and upgrades to Holyoke’s beloved Museum. Over the last 10 years, the Museum has added a number of new exhibits such as:Imagination Playground, Amazing Air Maze, Holyoke Police Station, Light Bright and our new STEM-based center, the World of Motion. With these updates, the Children’s Museum at Holyoke continues to be the place for children and families to learn and play in the Pioneer Valley.
