Did you know Holyoke is known as Paper City? Stop by the Art Room between 10 am-12 p.m. or 1 pm-3 pm to learn more about how paper is made and to make your own!

November 7th - 12th

Rangoli for Diwali

Celebrate Diwali: The Festival of Lights! This week, the art studio will be filled with all the supplies you need to make a beautiful Rangoli - an intricate art style from the Indian Subcontinent often made of flowers and colored sand! Don’t forget to look at the pictures and info pages we have posted by the craft and the curated book collection in our Curiosity Corner.

November 14th - 19th

Paper Plate Dinos

Design a dino from head to tail in the art studio this week with our Paper Plate Dino Craft! Pick your colors, add some googly eyes, and get creative with Do-a-Dot markers, and in no time, you’ll have a friend to bring home with you! Don't forget to take a look at the images and info we have posted by the craft.

Gobble Gobble Hand Turkey

Happy Thanksgiving! Celebrate the season and give thanks with this classic craft made from your own handprint! All the materials will be set up and ready to go in our art studio all week long. Don't forget to check out our printed images and info on the Mashpee Wampanoag tribe and a curated selection of Native American Heritage Month picture books in our Curiosity Corner!

November 28th - December 3rd

DIY Winter Wildlife Scene

Usher in the month of December and World Wildlife Conservation Day with your own winter scene! Design your own landscape, make it snowy with cotton ball snow, plant some evergreen trees, and let your animals loose! Don't forget to look at the printed info on each animal and how we can protect them as endangered species.
