Online reservations are not required for entry, but it is available to use for a touch-free admission experience.

ADMISSION POLICIES

The following rules and policies have been developed and are enforced to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all of our guests.

Children are never allowed into the museum without an adult.
Adults are not permitted to enter the museum without children. Should adults request a tour, we recommend calling ahead to make an appointment at (413) 536-7048.
Food and drink (excluding water) are not allowed on the museum floor. There is an indoor picnic area upstairs where two vending machines are available.
Pets are not allowed. Service animals are always welcome!

The museum reserves the right to refuse admission.

Contact your local library to see if they participate in our library pass program. If available, patron's may check the pass out through their library to receive half priced admission for up to six people.

We are proud to participate in the Card to Culture program, a collaboration between Mass Cultural Council and the Department of Transitional Assistance, the Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Nutrition Program, and the Massachusetts Health Connector, by broadening accessibility to cultural programming.

Blue Star Museum Program

Free admission for active, enlisted card holder or dependent and up to five people. This includes, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard–including Reservists, National Guardsman (regardless of status), U.S. Public Health Commissioned Corps, and NOAA Commissioned Corps.
Military ID, DD Form 1173 ID Card, or DD Form 1173-1 ID Card required.
Active from Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 20, 2023 through Labor Day, Monday, September 4, 2023.

Parking Instructions

The Children’s Museum is located at 444 Dwight Street in Holyoke, MA just down the hill past City Hall and adjacent to Heritage State Park and the upper canal.

Parking is available for free in the Merry Go Round open lot on Appleton St., a minute walk to the museum through the park.

Metered parking is available on the streets surrounding the Museum.

There are also two parking garages available, the Suffolk Street Municipal Parking Garage on the corner of Suffolk Street and Heritage Street. The Ernest Proulx Municipal Parking Facility is on the corner of Dwight Street and Front Street.

Use the ParkMobile app to pay for meters and the parking garages with ease. There is no fee on weekends and holidays.
