Junior
Volunteers
The
Junior Volunteer Program is geared to expose, engage, and
excite young people in the work and community of the museum.
By giving increasingly more in-depth training in science,
art, technology, exhibition design and display, working
with the public, leadership and pre-employment skills, JVs
become increasingly invested as members of the museum and
the community.
Youths
volunteer one or two shifts per week, either after school
or on weekends, with longer shifts during school vacations.
JVs are incorporated into the life of the Museum working
side-by-side with staff to provide visitor services, office
support, exhibit fabrication assistance, and an array of
other services.
The
JV program is open to youths ages 10 to 17, and applications
are available from the Junior Volunteer Coordinator.
For
more information, please contact our Education and Programs
Coordinator, Dayna
Abrazinski at: 413-536-KIDS.
