Development Interns
If you believe in giving impoverished youth opportunities
to develop their educational and leadership potential, this
is the program for you. Kids are involved in all the work
of the museum: exhibit development, explainers, special
community events and projects. You’d be working with
their coordinator to provide more support to each youth
as they work on projects.
Educational
Interns
Afterschool
Program – Work in one of the local schools with a
museum educator to
teach art and science programming to elementary students.
Come share you enthusiasm
and creativity.
SmallFry

Our long established preschool program needs teachers to
guide our young visitors 2.9 to 5 years through mini art,
music, literature and early science explorations
Science
Sleuths & Exploration Station
Furry, slimy, stinky science – Creative,
passionate science types are wanted to share their love
of biology, chemistry, geology, physics and Bill Nye to
engage and excite our 5 to 10 year old visitors. Or you
can Join in development of kits and guided tours & workshops
celebrating our newest room at the museum where young visitors
are encouraged to explore unfamiliar worlds.
Marketing/PR/Communications

If you want to experience it all here’s
your chance from writing and sending newsletters and press
releases, to designing program and exhibit brochures, and
making info packets and passes. Help us let the world know
what an amazing place this is.

We’re always looking for exciting, new ideas for educational
programming for kids birth to twelve. Do you like to produce
BIG events or even LITTLE ones? Festivals, celebrations,
theater performances, magic shows, events for children and
families - we need someone to help us design, plan, organize,
and manage! This would be a perfect opportunity for those
pursuing recreation management, leadership, community development,
