At the Children's Museum, exhibits are designed by education professionals (all
former kids themselves) and are hands-on, participatory, exciting, and FUN thinking-doing-discovery activities.

Curvy Climber
Children engage in complex physical activity exploring the
wavy platform levels high above the exhibit floorwith
the best views in the house! Designed by Thomas

How fast can you crawl through the tunnel?
Water Table
Our water table references the Holyoke Canal System and Connecticut River.
Children can set “dams” in place, practice measuring, and watch water wheels turn.

Discovering the Physical Sciences

Shadows where you place your body
in front of the photosensitive wall and "freeze"
the image of your shadow.

in which you design your own gravity maze! Move the
colored slats around and discover the unlimited number of
possible pathways for the golf balls to travel.

Bubblemaker where you can make
the biggest bubbles you've ever seen!
Tot Lot
This separate area is geared for the Museum's youngest visitors, aged 2 and
under. Little ones enjoy returning to play here again and again; repetition
and familiar surroundings are important facets
There are books and toys, all in a sunny, safe space with a terrific view of the canal
and urban landscape right outside our building.
